Pregnant with mouth issues, help!?!?

So a few days ago I had this tender spot behind my front teeth on the right side of the roof of my mouth. It felt like I burned my mouth, though I do not remember doing so. I thought it would go away. But it hasnt and some sores have popped up around the same area just like 2 tiny ones. I am 15 weeks pregnant, and I do not have any STD's so I know it is not that as I had a full STD panel done last month. What could it be? Can I see a dentist while pregnant? It effects me while I am eating badly, as I have to eat and chew on my left side only. I have used Ambesol, and that didnt work. I have gargled with salt water, and listerine but no luck. I am using camphophenic which helps and may make this go away but am not sure. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much.
