Pennsylvania lottery?

Tonight I won 1000 on a scratch ticket, I didnt know it was that much, until the lady scanned it. The first time it says how much and says to scan again to validate, o told the lady not to validate it, as I know a store that cashes out up too, 2500, but she said she had to scan it, and she did and made me fill out a claim form, I would have had to do this anyways, but on the pa website it says they can cash ot out, its a sheetz,, it says to send in tickets for over 2500 for the lotto to send a check, im going out of town, and if anybody knows if theres anything I can do about this, any input would be appreciated, may e contact sheetz and see if they will just give me the cash or speak with a
