Bush was right about Iraq, right on the Surge, wouldn't it be better for Dems to admit it?

Bush was wrong about Iraq but the surge did make things better. Obama needs to get better at expressing this. Saying something like "if you set your house on fire and then you are pretty good at putting it out fast, that doesn't make the initial action right," or "if you shoot yourself in the foot and then you are pretty good at bandaging up the wound so you don't lose your leg, that doesn't mean you were right to shoot your foot," some dramatic easy to understand "sound bite."
